Liam McConlogue is a professional French hornist born and based in the DC area. Since 2025, he has served as a musician in the US Army Ceremonial Band “Pershing’s Own”. He has played at military funerals in Arlington National Cemetery, at the White House, in Army Concert Band performances, and with the prestigious US Army Brass Quintet.
An active freelancer, Liam has performed with the renowned Cleveland Orchestra, the North Carolina Symphony, the National Philharmonic, the Grammy Award-winning Cleveland Chamber Symphony, the Canton and Akron Symphonies, and others. He is also a member of the Potomac Brass Quintet, which performs and teaches in the DC area.
Liam recently completed his Masters of Music from the University of Maryland as a member of the fellowship Terrapin Brass Quintet. He completed his Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2023. His primary teachers include Gregory Miller, Richard King, Justin Drew, and Sylvia Alimena.

Outside of music, Liam loves bike riding, hiking, pickleball, reading (a lot of fantasy books), playing video games, and baking pizza. He lives with his partner Breanna Lang and their cat Banjo in Arlington, Virginia.
